Arctic Challenge is a complex biennial multinational exercise, led by Finland and supported by Sweden and Norway. It attracts participants from across the NATO alliance. We are pleased to have been asked to create a unique and detailed patch by the team at the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath, who have recently deployed the 494th and 495th Fighter Squadrons to take part.

Aircraft and personnel are attending from many nations - Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Czech, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.

Our patch features a roaring polar bear, flanked by an F-15E Strike Eagle of the Panthers and F-35A Lightning II of the Valkyries, releasing decoy flares in it’s climb above the frozen ice caps. The edges of the patch feature the colours of each Squadron.
