We’re pleased to share the official patch for the participation of the RAF’s II(AC) Squadron in Operation Chessman, plus a new take on the Squadron’s classic arrowhead patch. 

II(AC) Squadron are currently deployed in Poland working on the enhanced Air Policing mission, based out of the 22nd Air Base in Malbork with their Typhoon FGR4s. They have arrived to take on part of NATO’s commitment to maintaining regional security and airspace integrity, alongside Saab Gripens of the Swedish Air Force. This deployment highlights the UK’s dedication to supporting NATO allies, and promoting the collective security of Europe. We’re honoured to supply the official patch featuring an intricate design, centred on a chessboard which displays the Polish Air Force roundel at its centre. Behind it sits a Spartan warrior - recognising the callsign often carried by II(AC) Squadron jets in UK airspace, with advanced weaponry such as Meteor and ASRAAM on the jet.

Alongside this we’ve created a new classic arrowhead patch for II(AC) Squadron - a striking and refreshed design in crisp PVC. This features the formidable Typhoon, along with the Squadron’s signature fighter bars and wake knot from the official badge.
