RAF 6 SQUADRON EX BAMBOO EAGLE 2025
RAF 6 SQUADRON EX BAMBOO EAGLE 2025
This week marks the moment that the RAF’s 6 Squadron travel to San Diego for Exercise BAMBOO EAGLE, following Exercise RED FLAG. 'The Flying Canopeners' will begin dynamic air combat training alongside the USAF and we're pleased to release their official patch for the occasion!
Coming off the back of their time at Nellis AFB, 6 Squadron are already sporting these patches as they set up camp in San Diego. The majority of their BAMBOO EAGLE sorties will take place over 'White Shark Cafe' in the Pacific Ocean.
'White Shark Cafe' is a remote area of the Pacific Ocean, between Baja California and Hawaii; noted as a winter and spring habitat of otherwise coastal great white sharks. To illustrate this, the design depicts a Typhoon with afterburners lit, charging from the depths towards a school of sharks. Amongst the sharks lurks an F-15, an F-16 and an F-35, all of which are participating in the Exercise.
We wish 6 Squadron and all involved a successful exercise.
