We’re very excited to unveil a brand new official patch for 27 Squadron RAF, in two versions! One full-colour, to be worn on flying suits and the other a tactical version to be worn on camouflage gear, when deployed in the field.

27 Squadron’s iconic elephant bicep curls a Chinook in each hand, embodying the strength and power of the aircraft and the animal proudly featured on the Squadron’s badge. This patch plays to the running joke - noting that “The answer is two Chinooks” and the only thing that varies is “What’s the question?” This features on the patch, with it having become somewhat of a catchphrase for the RAF’s Chinook Force, whenever a problem or situation arises and a helicopter is needed from UK Defence.

Having had this design in the bank for a while we’re overjoyed for it to become an official commissioned design for 27 Squadron.
