This print, designed by aviation artist Chris Dodd, is available to purchase in isolation, alongside our new Apache patch or as a bundle.

It features a pair of the British Army’s latest 21st Century attack helicopter, the AH-64E Apache “Guardian” undertaking a ground manoeuvre and anti-tank mission.

Having just destroyed an adversary tank with an AGM-114 Helfire, the Apache switches to the unguided Hydra 70 rocket, to provide immediate fires in support of ground troops. Simultaneously using its modern array of censors to seamlessly share mission-critical data with both crewed and uncrewed air vehicles to increase situational awareness.

The rear Apache, utilising its improved communications and threat-detection capabilities, incorporates its Longbow Radar to locate and prosecute its target. On this occasion using it’s newest integrated weapon the JAGM (Joint Air to Ground Missile) whilst dispensing flares from its improved countermeasures system, offering valuable protection against incoming heat-seeking, short-range surface-to-air missiles and MAPADS.

Having purchased fifty, the AH64E “Guardian” offers a significant upgrade from its predecessor the Apache MK.1 its ability to integrate into the modern battle space will ensure it is at the centre of the British Army’s war fighting capabilities for many years to come.
