RAF 1435 FLIGHT FALKLANDS QRA
RAF 1435 FLIGHT FALKLANDS QRA
We are delighted to announce the release of our latest badge, produced for some of those who serve and have served on 1435 Flight in the Falkland Islands.
Based at Mount Pleasant Airfield, the Flight now operates four Typhoons out of a hardened complex known as ‘The Devil’s Lair’. The four jets carry the tail codes F, H, C and D; a tradition which has endured since the days of the Phantom FGR.2s and continued through the Tornado F.3 era to the modern-day Typhoon.
Named Faith, Hope, Charity and Desperation, the jets hold Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) duties to protect the skies for the people of the Falkland Islands and we were most pleased to be able to produce this badge for the pilots, engineers and support personnel who enable that mission.
To anyone wishing to test those defences…
Beware the Devil’s Lair…
